Terms
By using Aaru (the app and website), you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
Adults only
Aaru accounts and Reading Salon participation are intended only for people aged 18 or older. By creating an account or participating in a Salon, you confirm that you meet that age requirement.
The service
Aaru provides catalogue browsing, scene-based reading, an optional synchronized audiobook, and Salon discussions for bimri's press. Features may change as the press grows.
Accounts
You are responsible for your login credentials and for activity under your account. You must provide a valid email address. Some features (including Salon mutations and audiobook playback) require a verified email.
Purchases
Books and Salon Circle membership are purchased on the Aaru website. Access is granted only after payment is confirmed by our servers. Owned books remain available to your account while the service operates; Circle membership lasts for the paid billing period and renews according to the plan you select until canceled on the website.
Acceptable use
Do not post or promote harassment, bullying, hate or dehumanising content, sexual exploitation, threats or graphic violence, spam or deception, another person's private information, unlawful content, or material that endangers children. Do not attempt to bypass entitlements, scrape or redistribute copyrighted scene text or audio, impersonate another person, or abuse rate limits.
Reading Salon community rules
Before creating a Salon, discussion, reply, or voice note, you must accept the current participation agreement in the app. Use the separately labelled report and block controls when content or conduct breaks these rules. Reports are reviewed privately. We may remove content, restrict participation, suspend an account, or preserve limited evidence where reasonably necessary for safety, fraud prevention, legal compliance, or an appeal. Repeated or severe abuse may lead to permanent loss of Salon access.
Content
Books and audiobooks remain the property of their rights holders. Your Salon posts remain yours; you grant Aaru a license to display them to Salon members for the purpose of the discussion.
